I Can’t Breathe Pt. 3
Please I can’t breathe.
My stomach hurts.
My neck hurts.
Everything hurts.
They’re going to kill me.
I can’t breathe either George.
I stand for you.
You deserve justice.
I pray for your family and loved ones.
My post won’t help.
Actions are much stronger.
But if I riot, would that solve the problem?
Isn’t that what they want us to do?
To be angry and label us as animals?
Is a post supposed to end racism?
Sadly, it’s been happening forever.
I stand for every African-American who has been affected by police brutality and white on black crimes.
I stand for every African-American who’s been falsely accused over a crime they didn’t commit.
I stand for all the young black men trying to succeed in life while facing adversity.
I stand for all the young black women who receive hate for being the strong and empowering human beings that they are.
I stand for my people and I don’t need a social media post to prove it.
